Over het evenement
Galatea
Four musicians and a ceramic artist — Klaudia Kazmierczak (ceramics), Vera Morais (voice), Katerina Orfanoudaki (harpsichord), Maria Kritsotaki (voice), and Nicky Kokkoli (saxophone) — explore different perspectives on this story, both through Galatea’s eyes and through music, clay, and stone.
The materiality of sound and the sonic qualities of the sculptures are merged to create a parallel world — one in which questions arise about free will, about being an object versus being a subject, and ultimately, about womanhood:
How does it feel to be built for a man’s ideal?
How does it feel to be a stone?
How does it feel to be human?
